New Application Booklet with Instructions

The process for application is rather complicated. Basically there are 5major steps.

1. Complete the required Incident Command System Course if this has not yet been accomplished.

2. Complete the Initial Application Packet.
When you have submitted your packet to your sponsor or the Admin Officer they will arrange for your fingerprinting and Photo.

3. Compete the fingerprint/photo process.
Your packet along with the fingerprint and photo will be forwarded to the national headquarters for processing and you will be contacted about the online process for your security background check and application forms

The Application Checklist page has links to all the required forms.  Additionally there are links for the forms that are the basis of the online process.  By downloading these forms and completing them as a draft you should have all the information required to finish the online process without delay.  The online processes are time limited and could cause the rejection of your application if not submitted within the deadline.
